Twitter Followers: Total Thus Far = 192

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to follow me, and for all your friendship and support!

TENTATIVE: Wednesday, November 11th

Wednesday, November 11th will be the next time I'll be in NYC.

Possibilities for this jaunt:

NOTE: Though the Veterans Day parade will be taking place (via 23rd & 5th up to 57th & 5th), it's doubtful we'll be able to view any of the parade goings-on.

NOTE: MetroCard and comfortable shoes are required for this jaunt.

If you're interested and serious about tagging along, the courtesy of an RSVP in the comments is necessary due to timing constraints (i.e., Whether I am alone or escorting an entourage directly impacts what time I arrive in NYC.)

NY Sheep & Wool: My "Haul"

I did not go to this year's NY Sheep & Wool to go crazy with purchases. I went primarily as a "socializing vehicle," to see friends from other states I haven't had a chance to meet, and to schmooze it up with IRL friends, too.

I did manage to purchase three items:

Smoked Venison Sausage (No picture; I EEEEEATED IT!)
"Bonne Bouche," hand-made, ash-ripened goat cheese
And a 4 oz skein/485 yards of hand-dyed fingering sock yarn (in the "Rainbow" colorway) by Steam Valley Fiber (Picture of yarn to be posted tomorrow--camera battery is charging as I type this.

TENTATIVE: October 31st

[Originally posted 7/6/09; being reposted!]

Halloween day, plus The Chocolate Show will be that weekend. Hopefully there could be enough interest in hitting the show, and doing some yarn shopping in the neighborhood!~

Those seriously interested, please contact me at intheloopnyc AT aol DOT com, so concrete plans can be made.

Chocolate.
Halloween.
Yarn.

What's not to like?

TENTATIVE: Monday, October 12th (Columbus Day)

I'll be in NYC on the 12th, and hope to be out of my appointment by noon to be "crawlin'" after the parade is over!

Not sure what will be on the agenda... perhaps:
  • Possibly go to Annie & Co, then ...
  • Take in a bit of the Columbus Day Parade, which will run from 11:45 to 3 p.m., up Fifth Avenue from 44th, ending at 79th
This blog post will be edited/updated as this itinerary evolves.
